SUMMER PROGRAM

Summer camps are led by our talented faculty and friends of Paideia. Your children will enjoy enhancing skills, learning new ones, and building relationships throughout the summer months.

All camps are open to both Paideia students and non-students. Paideia families are encouraged to participate and invite their friends.

June 5-9 | Summer Heat Sports Camp

Led by Kristin Monge for rising grades 2-6

M-Th 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM; F 9:45 AM – 2 PM $155
Location: M-Th, drop-off and pickup will be by the cottages. We will use the upper field and the gym. Friday, we’ll be at Knoxville Racquet Club.

Introduction to a variety of sports & activities including basketball, soccer, volleyball, pickleball, and kickball. Also included are fun “Field Day” type activities (water events, obstacle courses, pool noodle jousting, etc). The final day will include a 90-minute introductory tennis lesson at Knoxville Racquet Club with the pros and a pool party to end the week!

June 12-16 | Art with Mrs. Fancher

Led by Janice Fancher for rising grades 2-6

Morning Session – M-F 9-11:30 AM $150
Afternoon Session – M-F Noon – 2:30 PM $150

June 19-23 | Warriors Camp

Led by David Leach for boys in rising grades 4-7

M-F 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM $140

Plan a break in your summer by learning about being a warrior. In the best Paideia tradition, you will be actively trained and equipped to begin on your path to be a warrior. You will be armed with a short sword and shield and trained with bow and arrows and blowguns.

June 26-30 | Fitness and Conditioning for Athletes

Led by Tara McIlrath for rising grades 7-12

M-F 9 AM – Noon $25
Location: Paideia soccer field

Plyometrics, physical training systems, and exercises that will help improve your performance in whatever sport you’re involved in.

June 26-30 | Summer Arts & Crafts

Led by Sarah Garber for rising grades 1-6

M-F 9:00 AM – Noon $135

All things art! Come enjoy a different project each morning. We will be painting using different mediums, learning basic drawing instruction, exploring oil pastels, card making, etc.

July 10-14 | Middle School Girls Basketball Camp

Led by Erik Aanestad for girls in rising grades 5-8

M-F 8:30 AM – Noon $125
Location: Paideia outdoor basketball court

Join us for some fun honing our skills by doing drills on fundamentals such as dribbling, passing, and shooting and using those skills in scrimmages. Later in the week, we’ll be focusing on concepts related to offense and defense strategy. This will be for all skill levels with an emphasis is on helping those new to basketball gain confidence in their knowledge and abilities.
