Campus Reopening Plan
Paideia Academy has a plan for reopening its campus for the 2020-2021 school year on Monday, August 3, 2020.
Paideia is committed to in-person education. They will utilize best practices for reducing risk and being good citizens. Therefore, the school has a plan which will involve taking precautions while still providing individual attention to its students.
The Paideia Board of Trustees and Administrative Team, as well as their Technology Taskforce, have been reviewing guidelines. Sources include the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Centers for Disease Control, local medical professionals, the local health department as well as getting feedback from teachers and parents. From these sources, the school has created guidelines for their specific community with the goal of in-person face-to-face learning as long as it is possible.
The plan outlines seven priorities: Physical Distancing , Sanitation and Hygiene, Facial Covering, Public Health Policies, Co-Curricular Activities, Communication, and Distance Learning Plan. Next, it includes five phases to accommodate any needs that arise. However, the school understands that the guidelines in this plan are in constant flux depending on the available information.
Their commitment is to joyfully embrace the uncertainty. Likewise, they view this as an opportunity to glorify God in the difficult circumstances of life.
