Vision

Paideia Academy takes its name from the Bible in Ephesians 6:4, where the apostle Paul exhorts fathers to bring up their children "in the training (paideia) and admonition of the Lord." This ancient concept of paideia involves much more than a child's formal education. It points to an all-encompassing enculturation of a citizen, in this case, of God's kingdom.

Paideia Academy opened its doors in the fall of 2004 with a vision for a school that would assist parents in bringing up their children in the paideia of the Lord by providing a classical education founded upon a biblical worldview.

We desire to graduate young men and women who are thankful and joyful servants of Christ; equipped to be critical thinkers and able communicators; trained to evaluate their entire range of experiences in the light of Scripture; and prepared to boldly and humbly engage the culture with the claims of the gospel. We desire a school that will be instrumental in developing generations of godly leaders for our homes, our communities, and our world in need of Christ.
